This guide will help you manage driver shifts using the dispatch dashboard. You will learn how to view shift details, update shift times, change vehicle assignments, and mark drivers as unavailable.

Viewing Driver Shift Details:

Shift Overview:

  • On the dispatch dashboard, each driver's shift is represented by a bar.
  • Green Bar: Indicates the driver's available shift time.
  • Red Marks: Show the times when the driver is assigned trips and will be busy.

Vehicle Information:

  • Alongside the shift bar, you can view details such as the vehicle assigned (e.g., Van 9) and the last known GPS location of the vehicle.

Updating Driver Shifts:

How to Update:

  • To make changes to a driver’s shift, click anywhere on the green or red shift bar.
  • This will open the shift details for that driver.

Modifications You Can Make:

  • Change Vehicle: You can assign a different vehicle to the driver for their shift.
  • Update Shift Times: Adjust the start and end times of the driver’s shift.
  • Mark as Unavailable: If a driver is not available for a shift, you can mark them as unavailable.

Additional Options:

  • Reason for Unavailability: Select a reason for marking a driver as unavailable.
  • Comments: Add any necessary comments or notes to provide more context about the change.

Saving Changes:

  • After making any updates, click Save to apply the changes to the driver’s shift.
  • This ensures that the dispatch system reflects the most current and accurate information for driver assignments.

By following these steps, you can effectively manage driver shifts, ensuring smooth operations and accurate scheduling within the dispatch dashboard.
