How to Import Your CSV File

Bulk import trips by uploading a CSV file containing trip details.

Navigate to “Operations > Trip Import.”

Pre-condition

  1. The file should be in CSV format.
     
  2. The CSV file should have a column called Account code. The application requires it to identify which account the bookings need to be created. This account code should be present on the account screen.

How to Import Your CSV File

Step 1: Select the fleet, upload CSV, and map column fields with booking fields.

Step 2: Add a name for the mapping, which will be saved in the system for future purposes.

  • How to match legs- The System requires identifying the client's leg A and return leg so that it does not create duplicate client records.

    • Same invoice number- Any column that identifies that it has a different leg of a client. The number in this column should be the same. 
      • Example: 1234466 presents in two rows, with the client going from A to B and then B to A.
         
    • Client Identification- Something which is unique in the CSV record against client - Eg: Member id/DOB/Client name.
       
    • Alphabetical sequence of legs- If you have a column that says 4647-A and then 4647-B Then, the system will understand that these are two legs of the same booking.
       
  • Pickup/Drop off Information
    • Time only - Map a distinct column for Time only
    • Date only - Map a distinct column for Date only.
    • Pickup Time- Date and Time is present together in single column.
    • Pickup Address 1 - Address line one - 116 Martin Luther King E
    • Pickup Address 2 - Address line two - optional
    • Pickup State - Map a distinct column for the state only.
    • Pickup City - Map a distinct column for the city only.
    • Pickup Zip- Map a distinct column for zip code only.
    • Pickup unit/apt - Map a distinct column for unit/apt only.
    • Pickup Address - Map entire address mapping - 116 Martin Luther King East, Syracuse, NY 13205, USA
       
  • Trip information- map vehicle mode, seating need, and account code here.
     

Step 3: Preview and save the mapping. The status of the upload can be seen on the upload history screen.
