Table of Contents
Tags help dispatchers by surfacing critical details, improve dispatch visibility, and streamline workflows across Operations, Workbook, and the Driver App. Tags must be configured on the backend by the Tobi team. To request setup or changes to Tags, please reach out to help@tobicloud.com with the below template.
What are Tags?
Tags are labels applied to trips or passengers to highlight important operational, safety, or service-related information. Common examples include:
- Door-to-door service requirements
- Safety or medical alerts
- Certified driver requirements
- Behavioral or supervision notes
- Seating or equipment needs
- Internal operational groupings
Tag Groups
Tags can be organized into “Tag Groups” to group similar tags together. Tag Groups can be named freely based on operational needs. Once configured, Tags will appear within their assigned groups on the Booking Form.
How Tags Are Used in Tobi
Once configured, tags become selectable in the platform. Tags can be applied and managed in several ways across the platform:
- Manually added on the Booking Form during trip creation or edits
- Updated in bulk through CSV imports for large-scale changes
- Synced automatically to Trips and Standing Orders when updates are made
- Used as filters throughout the platform for operational workflows
Dispatchers can use tags to:
- Filter by one or multiple tags
- Search for tags using text search
- Combine tag filters with other filters
Best Practices
- Keep tag naming consistent and standardized
- Use Tag Groups to reduce clutter on the Booking Form
- Use Tags for clear operational or passenger-level context
- Reserve Warning Tags for critical safety or operational information
