Update Service Area Manually Service Area Consistency Across Trip Legs Introducing Tips for Drivers

Hey everyone!

We released Version 4.50.0 on Thursday, March 20, 2025, introducing enhancements to service area management and trip consistency. These updates give dispatchers greater control over bookings and ensure seamless operations across all trip legs.

Update Service Area Manually

The Operations team can now manually update the service area during both booking creation and editing, ensuring accurate assignment to the correct service area, fleet, and driver.

While Creating a Booking:

  • The service area is auto-populated when pickup address is entered.
  • The Operations team can manually select a different service area.
  • A list of available service areas for the chosen fleet is provided.
  • The updated service area can be saved.

While Editing a Booking :

  • The Operations team can click on the service area field to update it.
  • A popup displays all service areas linked to the selected fleet.
  • The selected service area is saved upon update.

 

Service Area Consistency Across Trip Legs

To maintain operational consistency, updates to the service area in the first leg of a trip will now automatically apply to all subsequent legs, while ensuring changes to the second leg will remain isolated to that leg.

Updating Service Area of Leg 1: When the service area of Leg 1 is changed, all subsequent legs are updated accordingly.

Updating Service Area of Leg 2: When the service area of Leg 2 is changed, it applies only to Leg 2. Leg 1 remain unchanged.



Introducing Tips for Drivers

We can now easily add tips to a booking, ensuring fair compensation for drivers while maintaining accurate invoicing.

  • "Tip" option is now available in the Add Charges section.
  • Enter a custom tip amount.

 

  • The tip is included in the total trip cost and reflected in the invoice generated for the trip.
