Hey everyone!
We released Version 4.77.3 on Monday, August 25, 2025.
Enhancements & Fixes
This release introduces key enhancements to search accuracy, cancellation charge flexibility, route reliability, and booking workflows.
These updates improve operational efficiency, billing accuracy, and dispatcher control.
Key Highlights
Improved search for names with Apostrophes:
We’ve enhanced the search functionality for all search fields on dispatch to better handle student names containing apostrophes (e.g., D’Andre Lewis).
- Searching by partial or full name now returns reliably, even for names with special characters.
Cancellation Charge Calculation via Expression-Based Price Rules:
Cancellation charge logic has been moved into the expression-based pricing framework to support flexible and account-specific rules.
- New Cancellation Charge component has been introduced in price rules.
- New variables: cancellation_date and cancellation_time for conditional logic is now available.
- Supports multiple cancellation charge conditions like Flat Charge (e.g., $20), percentage based (e.g., 30% of booking amount).
- Driver fare and route fare automatically adjust based on configured rules.
- Special handling for additional riders where charges are redistributed if one sibling cancels.
- Consistent reflection of cancellation charges in bookings, invoices, driver fares & reporting exports.
Default Status “Pending” for Dispatcher-Created Bookings
When driver/dispatch accept/reject workflow is configured, bookings created via Dispatch will be generated in Pending status to follow same workflow as Booking Portal.
- Bookings created via Booking Form or CSV upload default to Pending status.
- Dispatchers can then Accept or Reject these bookings, ensuring the same review process as Booking Portal submissions.
- Pending status is clearly visible on the Booking Portal to requesters/admins.
- Edited bookings retain their existing status (Accepted/Rejected) instead of reverting to Pending.
- Full audit trail maintained for compliance and traceability.
Recurring Runs – Multi-Seating Need Fix:
Resolved an issue where trips with multiple seating needs failed to be added to a route via recurring runs.
- Previously, validation failed if the first node’s seating need didn’t match the trip’s maximum passenger count.
- Now, the system evaluates the overall seating configuration instead of just the first node, ensuring recurring runs successfully add trips with varying seating needs.
We value your feedback and appreciate your continued support! Thank you for choosing TOBI.
